SIMULATION EDUCATOR PORTFOLIO
The Simulation Educator Portfolio (SEP) stems from the growing trend of portfolios as a professional development tool, particularly within the field of Medical Education. Personalized portfolios can be incredibly powerful guides for creating clear goals, facilitating meaningful reflection and recognition of self development and overall job satisfaction.
Unlike clinical portfolios required for career progression SEPs are unique to each individual, but build upon core standards true of both medical education and simulation. The SEP provided by NESTFIG complements our Simulation Fellow Curriculum, allowing those first starting out in simulation, or looking for ways to develop their knowledge and skills. These can then be used to develop a sustainable career as medical educators / simulationists, with clearly structured evidence which can be used during job applications and impress future employers.
